(From Brenner Mortuary)Thelma Louise Wuerdeman, 99, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on July 28, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She was born on October 5, 1922 to Arthur and Pauline (Kubler) Christiansen.
On August 26, 1943, she was united in marriage to Orman W. Wuerdeman. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2006. Thelma worked various secretarial jobs. She also loved quilting and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Paul D. Wuerdeman (Magdalena), of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Norma Wahling (Dennis) of Shelby, IA; Treva Schindler (Tom) of Pittsburg, KS; two sisters, Erma Juergensen of Churdan, IA; Edna Lassman of Carl Junction, MO; five grandchildren Christine Schindler, Matthew Schindler, Carrie Wahling Dills, Robyn Wahling, Joel Wahling; and six great-grandchildren, William Schindler, Collin Dills, Samantha Wahling, Loralei Wahling, Gabrielle Wahling and Caitlyn Dills.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Galen Christiansen, and one sister, Doris Christiansen.
Funeral services will be on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas Wehrman officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
Burial will take place at Ft Scott National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Monday. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, July 31st, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary. Memorial donations can be made to the St. John Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
