Minnie Rush

Minnie Louise (Dickerson) Rush, of Springfield, MO, departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness, at the age of 94.

She was born on July 10, 1928 in South Greenfield, MO to Hubert and Leta (Sorrell) Dickerson. Louise was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1945. 

She married Richard Rush on October 11, 1947 and they were privileged to spend 51 years together. To this union, four daughters were born. 







Louise spent most of her life in Dade County. She retired as a bookkeeper from the Lockwood Farmers Exchange. Her most rewarding job of her life was being a wife, mother, and member of the Lockwood Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Hubert and Leta Dickerson; her husband, Richard Rush; her mother and father-in-law, Margariet and Truman Rush; her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Roy Pyle; one nephew, Jimmy Pyle; and one son-in-law, Stan Pierce.








Louise is survived by her four daughters, Becky Dobbs and husband Joe, Brenda Thompson and husband Darrell, Belinda Stogsdill and husband Gregg, and Beleta Pierce and her late husband Stan; five grandchildren, Brian Jacobs, Matthew Thompson and wife Shannon, Kevin Thompson and wife Megan, J.C. Pierce and wife Kristin, and Jermaine Pierce Grubbs and husband Adam; ten great-grandchildren, Brianna Jacobs, Brett Perry, Ryker Thompson, Sebastian Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Katelyn Thompson, Griffin Thompson, Dexter Grubbs, Ruby Grubbs, and Harper Pierce; half-sister (by choice), Joy Ainsworth; and one nephew, Roy Pyle and wife Lynne and their children and grandchild.

A private family graveside service will be held at Pippenger Cemetery. Louise will be laid to rest beside her dear husband, loving mother and daddy, special mother and father-in-law. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pippenger Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
