Junior Morgan

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Lawrence "Junior" Morgan, age 83, of Stella, Missouri, passed away on April 1, 2025. He was born in Fairview, Missouri, on June 7, 1941, to Charles Lawrence Morgan and Bessie Viola Blanke.

Junior attended Fairview High School and married Bettie Kimbrough on August 8, 1959, where they enjoyed over 65 years of happiness and love, and she survives him.

A dedicated cattle farmer, Junior worked first in dairy farming and later in beef farming. One of his favorite places to be was right in the middle of the hay field. He also drove a propane truck for Al's Gas Co. in Neosho and worked for the Farmers Co-op while milking. He had a passion for trading guns at the pawn shop, hunting anything that moved, and traveling out west for hunting trips with his son, Randy.

Junior took great pride in his children and always wanted nothing but the best for them. The greatest joy in his life was the fact that he was a Christian and knew he was going to be with the Lord.

Junior is survived by his loving wife Bettie, their children: Debbie Shaver of Stella, Randy (Melinda) Morgan of Stark City, Karen (Mike) Marney of Purdy, Rick (Sherry) Morgan of Stella, Scott (Cindy) Morgan of Stella, and Todd (Carrie) Morgan of Fairview. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Coleman of Monroe, Washington, his sister-in-law, Sharon Morgan of Carl Junction, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bessie Morgan; his brother Jim Morgan; his sister Linda Schoonover; his brother-in-law Hallie Schoonover; his brother-in-law Wayne Coleman; his son-in-law James Shaver; two twin grandsons; and two great-grandsons, Kaden Schriever and Lincoln Stump.

A funeral service will be held on April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home - Granby Chapel. JR Burr and Denny Kruse will officiate. A graveside service will follow at Dice Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Stark City Church of Christ, 516 North Street, Stark City, Missouri, 64866.

Junior will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
