(From Clark Funeral Home)James Glynn Sanders, age 67, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1957, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to H. Glynn and Betty Marie (Jordan) Sanders. James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose love for his family and faith was at the heart of everything he did.
James married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Williams, on August 18, 1978, and together they raised a son, Kenny. He was a beloved Poppy to his grandchildren—Kyle (MaKenzie) Sanders, Keaton Sanders, and Kolton Sanders—and found great joy in watching them play sports. His family was his world, and he was known for his unwavering kindness, always thinking of others and sharing his love with those around him. He was affectionately called “Uncle James” by several nieces and nephews, and even by many who weren’t blood-related but shared a special bond with him.
James was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Neosho, where he served the Lord with great dedication. He taught Sunday School classes for over 35 years, including the RA and Awana programs, and faithfully served as a deacon for over 30 years. His love for God and his church was evident in everything he did.
In his leisure time, James enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the University of the Oklahoma Sooners. His heart was as big as his passions, and he had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, their son Kenny (Amanda) Sanders, along with his cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Glynda (John) Ball, Yvonne McClintock, and Cheryl (Gary) Cooper, and a large extended family, including his father-in-law Bill Williams of Seneca, Missouri, sisters-in-law Kathy Vosburgh of Blue Eye, Missouri, Carolyn (Randal) Ritter of Seneca, Missouri, and brothers-in-law Billy (Lyn) Williams and Jackie (Stacey) Williams, both of Neosho, Missouri.
James was preceded in death by his father, and his mother-in-law Beverly Williams.
