(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Melba M. Vaughn 84, of Mindenmines, MO died 4:45pm Thursday April 3, 2025 at her home following an illness.
Melba was born February 7, 1941 in Lamar, MO the daughter of Melvin William and Leona Mae (Faubion) McMackin. Melba has lived in the area most all her life graduating from Bonner Springs High School.
On April 22, 1963 Melba married Henry Leroy Vaughn in Edwardsville, KS; he preceded her in death on February 22, 2008. Melba worked as an inspector for many years inspecting restaurants, airlines, buses and hotels. She also loved to be a homemaker as well. In Melba’s free time she enjoyed genealogy, gardening and making toy dolls.
Survivors include children Steve Vaughn and wife Patricia of Osawatomie, KS, Connie Clemans and husband Dwight of Mindenmines, MO, Cathy Lane of Gardner, KS, Patrick Vaughn of Mindenmines, MO and Lisa Gorman and husband Ken of Mindenmines, MO; in addition 67 grand-children and great-grandchildren.
