(From McQueen Funeral Home)Vicki Diann Sturgeon, age 69, of Stark City, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born October 30, 1955 in Lamar, Missouri the daughter of Dewey and Joanne (Storbeck) Patterson. On May 7, 1977 she was united in marriage to Allan Dale Sturgeon, who preceded her in death on February 6, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are her son, Dusty Sturgeon and his wife Val of Stark City, Missouri; daughters, Amy James and her husband Brad of Neosho, Missouri and Lindsay Bigham and her husband Chad of Joplin, Missouri; sister, Jolene Welch and her husband Ed of Willard, Missouri; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Vicki graduated from Marionville High School in Marionville, Missouri later attending Crowder College in Neosho. She was employed by Walmart as a pharmacy technician, as a secretary for the CPA Group, and worked alongside her husband Allan on their cattle and poultry farm. Vicki enjoyed sewing and going to Branson, but her greatest pleasure was found in the precious moments spent with her grandchildren, which she treasured. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Pioneer, Missouri under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the service.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Vicki.
