Dale Lambeth

(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)

Dale Leon Lambeth, known affectionately as Dale to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 77, in Sarcoxie, MO. Born on April 19, 1947, in Carthage, MO, Dale was a man known for his kindness, his handy craftsmanship, and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones and community.

Dale's life was one marked by love and dedication. He was a cherished husband to his wife, Sandra Kay, with whom he shared fifty-nine years of beautiful memories since their marriage on November 27, 1965. Together, they built a life full of joy and laughter, welcoming their children Klista Bacon, along with her husband Lance of Carterville, MO, and Kevin Lambeth of Sarcoxie, MO. Dale was also a proud grandfather to Cody Walker of Sarcoxie, MO, whose achievements and adventures brought him immense pride.

He was a beloved brother to David Lambeth and his wife Cec of North Dakota, Mary Ruth Sherrel and her husband Jim of Lexington, NC, and Donald Lambeth of Joplin, MO.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, James and Verla (Rosebrough) Lambeth.

A proud 1965 graduate of Sarcoxie High School, Dale's education laid the foundation for his future successes. His service to his country was unwavering, as he proudly served in the United States Air Force from July 25, 1966, returning home on June 30, 1970. Following his military service, Dale's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate Lambeth Auto in Carthage, MO, for over fifty years. His business was more than a livelihood; it was a community hub where customers and employees alike were treated like family. Beyond his business, Dale's passion for education and vocational skills led him to serve as a past board member of Franklin Technical College in Joplin. He believed in the power of knowledge and the importance of skilled trades in shaping a vibrant community.

Dale's interests extended far beyond his professional life. He was a man with a deep passion for cars and motorcycles, finding joy in the roar of an engine and the meticulous care that went into maintenance and restoration. Water skiing was another of his favorite pastimes, a testament to his love for adventure and the great outdoors. His musical talent shone through as the disc jockey for Second Street Square Dance in Joplin, where he brought people together with the power of music and dance.

Most of all, Dale cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a boisterous family gathering, Dale's presence was a source of comfort and happiness for all who knew him. His kindheartedness and handy skills often found him helping others, whether fixing a car or lending an ear. Dale's legacy is one of generosity, love, and an unwavering dedication to his community.
