(From Clark Funeral Home)Billy Dawayne Williams, Sr., a lifelong area resident, passed away surrounded by family on April 12, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1935, in Racine, Missouri to Roy and Hathaway (Rich) Williams.
On November 24, 1956, Billy married the love of his life, Beverly Ann Ehrhart, in Miami, Oklahoma. They shared 65 wonderful years together before her passing on June 24, 2022.
Billy attended and graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca, Missouri. He proudly served in the United States Army. Billy worked many dedicated years for the City of Neosho as a maintenance man for the water department. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and deep love for children, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom he spent countless joyful hours.
In his free time, Billy enjoyed fishing and playing games, particularly dominoes with his beloved siblings. His warmth, gentle humor, and easygoing nature left an impression on everyone who knew him.
Billy is survived by his children: Kathy Vosburgh, Billy (Lyn) Williams Jr., Jackie (Stacey) Williams, Patricia Sanders, and Carolyn (Randal) Ritter; siblings: Marshvon Williams, Lillys Ludiker, and Connie Humphrey; 10 grandchildren: Kenny Sanders, Michelle Chapman, Cody Williams, Byran Williams, Misty Renfro, Shawn Williams, Daniel Williams, Allissa Collinsworth, Lindsay Jarrett, and MaKenzie Ritter; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Beverly, sons-in-law James Sanders and Jim Vosburgh, and siblings Roy Lee Williams, J.T. “Pete” Williams, Mary Lou Staib, and Jackie Dale Williams.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., also at the Chapel of Memories.
Billy will be laid to rest with full military honors conducted by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program, to which he once service, at Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, Missouri.
Billy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kind spirit, love of family, and unwavering devotion to those around him.
