(From Clark Funeral Home)Steven R. Edens, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on April 17, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1949, in Neosho to Rollie and Esther (Stockton) Edens.
Steve worked hard throughout his life, holding positions with MOARK and Branco, and later in truck maintenance at CFI until his retirement. Known for his strength, Steve was a man who found joy in the simple things—especially a good western movie and a cold Diet Coke.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; two children, Chad (Theresa) Edens of Neosho and Jessica (Jim) Brock; and two stepchildren, Daniel Bruce (Krissy Burton) of Joplin and Jean Ann Goines (Jason Ruopp) of Pineville. He also leaves behind his siblings, Peggy (Larry) Tanner of Neosho, Phillip (Delores) Edens of Neosho, and Mark (Brenda) Edens of Cherryvale, Kansas.
Steve was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren—Bindi Edens, Conagher Edens, Arrow Edens, and Dash Edens—and two step-grandchildren, Dylan Bruce and Cameron Swartz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Esther Edens, as well as his siblings Jacky Wayne, Sharon Canada, and Diana Baker.
A time of visitation will be held on April 29, 2025 at Hilldale Baptist Church from 10:00AM-11:00AM, with funeral service beginning at 11:00AM. Virgil Eubanks and Ty Zola will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a man who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
