(From Parker Mortuary)Kelsey Ann Marie Mitchell, age 36, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.
Kelsey was born December 13, 1988 in Joplin, daughter of the late Samuel Marshall Mitchell, II and Elizabeth Ann Patton of Joplin. She grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School. She has lived in the Joplin area all her life and was known for having a good heart, and will be missed by many.
In addition to her father, Kelsey was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Patton who passed away on December 23, 2023.
Survivors include her daughters, Brianna Marie Mitchell and Kailynn Nicole Mitchell both of Joplin; her mother, Beth Ann Patton of Joplin; brothers, Samuel Marshall Mitchell, III of Joplin, and Seth Matthew Paul Mitchell of Neosho, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 6:00 a.m. at Schermerhorn Park in Galena, KS with family and friends exchanging memories of Kelsey. She was buried next to her father in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
