(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Kenneth Leroy McClintock, age 84 of Carterville, Missouri, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Kenneth was born July 2, 1940 in Brookfield, Missouri to the late Leroy and Aletha (Warren) McClintock.
Kenneth grew up in Carterville and graduated from Carterville High School. Soon after graduation, Kenneth enlisted into the United States Navy. He married Sharon Dillon on August 24, 1963. Kenneth was a long-time employee of Atlas Powder Company, retiring after 39 years of service to the company.
Kenneth’s faith was a huge part of his life. He was a member of Carterville United Methodist Church where he and Sharon were very active, serving in many areas.
Other than his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by a son, Bradley McClintock; daughter in-law, Kelly McClintock; sisters, Judy Nelson and Marilyn Newman; brother, Larry McClintock.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon McClintock of Carterville; son, Kevin McClintock (Kathleen) of Joplin; grandson, Jude McClintock of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Roger McClintock of Carterville; sister, Gloria Scott (Kent) of Belton, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. and a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Hedge-Lewis Goodwin Funeral Home. Following service, committal of ashes will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City with military honors to be performed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carterville United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
