(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Terri Kaye Rose, 70 passed away peacefully in her home on April 2, 2025. Born on June 9, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri, Terri was a retired Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Terri grew up in the Carterville and Webb City area and graduated from Webb City High School in 1972. Upon graduation, Terri moved to Southern California to attend nursing school. She became a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in 1979, and a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1982. She then became a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1984, earning her degree from University of California, Los Angeles, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Terri continued to work in the field while furthering her education and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1992 from California State University, Dominquez Hills. Terri had extensive experience working in the field of women’s health over her many years in the profession and was always dedicated to both caring for and educating her patients.
Terri is survived by her two daughters, Meghan Lenora Jeffries and her family, husband Jared, and children Hugh and Vivian, and daughter Kaisley Suzanne Pitts and her family, husband Cory, and children John and Rhetta, and baby girl due in July 2025. Terri is also survived by her six siblings: Jerry “Butch” Rose, John (Beverly) Rose, Judy (Doug) Thomas, Steve Rose, Tammy Rose Northing, and Gary (Kathie) Rose as well as thirteen nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lenora Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at the Carterville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jared Jeffries, Cory Pitts, John Rose, Gary Rose, Steve Rose, and Cody Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Keith and Jamey Northing.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joplin Humane Society in Terri’s memory.
