Donna Lung

Donna June Lung, 63, of Cassville passed away on September 7, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born on May 10, 1963, to Kenneth and Mary Ellen (Agnew) Lung in El Centro, CA.

She grew up in Miller, MO, and was a Miller High School graduate, class of 1981. She went on to earn an associate’s degree in graphic design from Ozarks Technical College in Springfield.Donna worked as a paramedic for 25 years for Cox Paramedics Barry County and the Barry/Lawrence Ambulance District, helping to save lives and serving the people in the community.

She was a talented wood craftsman and frequently made beautiful bespoke & heirloom toys and keepsakes for loved ones. Donna was an avid animal lover, especially dogs & horses, but she ultimately loved all creatures (except snakes).
She was also a Lego & puzzle enthusiast and decorated her home with all of her most loved projects.
As a skilled hobby photographer, Donna took hundreds of senior photos, wedding photos, engagements, and family photos.
Donna also loved NASCAR, with her favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt Jr., and in recent years, enjoyed listening to his & his wife, Amy’s podcast “Bless your Hardt”, that they started after he retired from racing.

On September 19, 2015, Donna married Rhonda, her partner of 20 years, who survives of the home.

She is also survived by her father Kenneth (Cora) Lung of Miller, MO; her sister, Denise (Greg) Tyler of Joplin, MO; her brother Donald (Lena) Lung of Miller, MO; brother-in-law, Bruce (Myia) Pettitt of Siler City, NC; 15 nieces/nephews (and their spouses); 10 great nieces/nephews, many extended family and friends, as well as her pets Kenzie, Roxy, Loki and Ziva.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen (Agnew) Lung; her sister, Debra Kosky; and her beloved fur babies, Sydney, Nikki, Oreo, and Miss Kitty.

Donna wished to take part in a coral reef cremation, where she will be placed in an artificial coral reef structure and placed on the ocean floor to restore critical coastal reefs.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 11, from 5-7 PM at White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Funeral to follow on Saturday, Sept.12 at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating, in Donna’s memory, to Haven of the Ozarks, a no-kill animal shelter. which was very close to Donna's heart.
