Jack White

(From Fohn Funeral Home)

Jackie Ray “Jack” White, Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Seligman, Missouri on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

He was born on January 28, 1950, in Garfield, Arkansas, the son of Merrill “Buster” Anderson White and Belva Juanita (Stanphill) White, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were ten siblings and a stepdaughter.

Surviving are his son, Jackie Ray White, Jr.; three stepchildren, Mary Rice and her husband Johnny, Robert Kile, and Norman Mullins; sisters, Bonnie Patterson of Kentucky and Betty Hency and her husband Doug of Garfield, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dakota White and Mariah Daugherty and her husband Kenny; great grandchildren, Ryker White, Bec Daugherty, and Dante Willard; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Jackie was a hardworking man who spent many years working for Tyson and most of his life as an automobile mechanic. He could fix just about anything with a motor, and working on cars was more than a job to him—it was something he truly loved. He took great pride in his work and especially in his beloved 1955 and 1957 Chevrolets. But more than anything, Jackie loved his family and the life they shared together. He and Mary Helen enjoyed taking the kids to Beaver Lake Speedway in Rogers on the weekends, where they would watch the races, spend time together, and make memories that would last a lifetime. Those simple weekends became some of the moments his family would treasure most.

Jackie had a love for dancing. He, Mary, and his Aunt Josephine would go to the VFW in Springdale, where they would dance, laugh, and have a good time together. He knew how to enjoy himself and believed that life was meant to be lived, laughed about, and shared with the people you loved.

Jackie had a special love for fishing and the warmer days of summer. Whenever the weather was warm, you could often find him enjoying the outdoors, those simple days of sunshine, fresh air, fishing, and riding his bike were some of the things that brought him the greatest joy. Jackie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. His family will remember the sound of his laughter, his love of cars and racing, his dancing, his hardworking hands, and most of all, the love he had for the people around him.

Although he is no longer here to share another race, work on another Chevy, or dance another song, the memories he gave his family will never fade. His life lives on in the stories they tell, the laughter they share, and the love he left behind. Jackie may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Rest peacefully, Jackie. You were loved, you are deeply missed, and you will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with time and date to be announced. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus in memory of Jack.
