Mr. Leroy A. Crane, age 88, of Carl Junction, MO passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon, MO.
Leroy was born October 16, 1926 in Augusta, KS to the late Ernest and Charity Temple Crane and then on September 8, 1994 as a believer of Jesus Christ. Leroy was a mechanic for Farmland Industries retiring in 1989. He served his country in the US Navy from 1943 – 1946 and the US Army from 1947 – 1953. He was a member of Christ’s Church of Oronogo.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Galen Crane July 16, 1994. He is survived by his sons, Coy Jones and wife Cindy, Alan Crane and wife Brenda and Dale Crane and wife LaJean, all of Carl Junction, MO. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sue Williams and husband Roy of Branson, MO, Betty Louden of Alba, MO, and Aloha Coffey and husband Pat of West Richland, WA and a brother, Clyde F. Crane of Chino, CA.
Funeral Services for Mr. Crane will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Christ’s Church of Oronogo with Pastor Ken Ansley officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Hazel Green Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Wednesday until the service time at 2:00 PM at the church. Grandsons will honor his life by serving as Pallbearers. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Peterson Outdoors Ministry in care of the funeral home.
