Margaret Lois Patton passed away May 16, 2015 at Granby House.
She was born January 26, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of James Lowell and Lulah Augusta Prather. Margaret married Wendell Patton and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1999. Margaret was a homemaker in Neosho before relocating to Kansas City. The family resided in Kansas City, North, where she was close to her family. Following retirement, Margaret and Wendell moved back to Neosho. She devoted much of her time volunteering her services to St. Canera’s Catholic Church, where she was a member, Crosslines and Freeman-Neosho Hospital. Margaret had many friends and enjoyed playing cards with them and family.
Margaret is survived by her four daughters, Joyce Montez and husband, Ben, Sharon Cochren and husband, Mike, Donna Brown and husband, Bill, and Debbie Vogt and husband, Rick; eleven grandchildren, B.J. Montez, Audrey Russell, Theresa Hamby, Gina Riddle, Bryan Whipple, Stephen Whipple, Christi Kalmbach, Angela Vogel, Jay Brown, Sarah Vogt and Emily Vogt; nineteen great grandchildren; her youngest brother, Charles Prather and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward, James and Joseph Prather; and two sisters, Frances Spillers and Maralyn Griffin, all of Kansas City, Missouri.
