Nancy A. Pennington, 72, of Carthage, MO left to be with the Lord at 9 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2015 at Freeman Hospital.
Nancy was born October 20, 1942 in Carthage, she was the daughter of Almous Spruce and Geda Watson, She attended school in Carthage and married Sherman Pennington October 11, 1958 he preceded her in death January 4, 2011. She was a former member of the CB club “The Odd Ball Bunch”, Nancy retired from St. Luke's Nursing Home and was a charter member of the Fellowship Baptists Church, she enjoyed cooking crocheting and her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters; Tracy Silvers and her husband Jerry of Webb City, Terrie Rutledge and Kelly Borchgardt and her husband Richard all of Carthage; nine grand children Stephanie Stanley and her husband Ian of Carterville, Jeffery Silvers and Jenny Hubert of Anderson Darren Silvers and his wife Sarah of Joplin, Tausha Hayes of Jasper, Toni Watson of Carthage, Brittany Smith and her husband David of Carthage, Garrell Dry and his wife Kali of Joplin, Dakota Borchgardt of Carthage and Ashley Borchgardt of Lancaster; sixteen great grandchildren, Ethan and Hunter Shoup, Hayden Stanley, Faith Silvers, Kinzie Hubert, Jordan, Rylan, Kaylyn, Brooklyn and Justin Hays Haylie, Jaden and Cody Watson, Jericho and Jasper Smith Alzeala Crist and three great great grandchildren Riley, Zane and Kaley Watson. Surviving siblings include one brother Dale Spruce and one sister Barbra Spruce both of Carthage. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and husband one sister Neoma Colbaugh and one brother Donnie Spruce. In loving memory of a wonderful wife, mother, mimi, daughter, and sister. Mother you will always be loved and remembered, we could not have asked for a better mother. Until we meet again in heaven, we will love and miss you so much.
Nancy's wishes were for cremation and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 17, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Carthage, the reverend Charles Chrisman will officiate.
