Peppy E. Long, age 57, Joplin, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness.
Pep was born August 22, 1957 in Carthage, Missouri to Maria Campos Pottorff and the late John D. Pottorff, Sr. She had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.
A homemaker, she enjoyed scary movies and reading books. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Danielle Nicole Thomas and her husband, Jacob, Joplin, Shelby Ann Long and her partner, Shyla McDonald, Joplin; her mother, Maria Pottorff, Joplin; sister, Maria E. Hartje and her husband, Jim, Joplin; brother, John Pottorff, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie, Joplin; brother, George DeHoyos, Texas; nephews, Jimmy Hartje and wife, Stacy, Justin Hartje and wife, Machelle, Josh Pottorff and wife, Nichole, Jordan Pottorff and wife, Kelsey; great nieces and nephews, Jamie and Megan Hartje, Bridan and Leanne Hartje, Landyn and Brooklynn Hartje, Zach Hartje, Noah Hartje, Paije Hartje, Nathan, Justin and Bradley Vandergriff.
Pep has been taken for cremation.
Memorial services are planned for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Maria Pottorff.
