David Swofford, age 60, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away July 1, 2017.
He was born July 13, 1956 in Monett, Missouri, to Dewey and Norma (Hudson) Swofford.
David worked in many lines of work including grain harvest, farming and telemarketing.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He was a complicated, but simple person.
David was preceded in death by his father; and one son, Dewey Swofford.
He is survived by his mother; one daughter, Melissa Swofford, of Webb City, Missouri; one son, Joseph Swofford, of Tupelo, Mississippi; one sister, Gail Pierce; three grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and one great-nephew.
A memorial visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Joplin, Missouri.
