Howard Archie Schubert, 60, of Galena, Missouri formerly of Sarcoxie, departed this life on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Howard entered this life on February 27, 1957 in Carthage, Missouri to the union of Chester L. and Esther R. (Straw) Schubert. He was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Howard was a lifelong area resident. He worked for more than thirty four years driving a truck. On February 4, 2003 he was united to marriage to Wynona (Kim) Whitener. Howard enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Schubert; and brother-in-law, James Pyle.
Howard is survived by his wife, Kim, of the home; his children, Nancy Stewart and husband Daniel of Carthage, Missouri, Nathan Schubert and Huck Pelfrey and wife, Caitlin, all of Republic, Missouri ; eleven grandchildren; parents, Kenneth and Esther Archer of Sarcoxie, Missouri; four brothers, David Schubert and wife Sharon, of LaRussell, Missouri, Danny Schubert, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Bob Schubert and wife, Deb, of Stotts City, Missouri, and Dale Schubert and wife, Markita, of Collinsville, Oklahoma; one sister, Joan Pyle of Cushing, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Cave Springs Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Missouri with Chris Keithley officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Schubert, Matthew Schubert, James Pyle, Nick Whitener, Josh Whitener and Derek Raulston.
