Inez C. Lewis, age 96, of Carl Junction passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born June 1, 1921 in Stella, Missouri to James Burge and Exie Bridgewater Burge. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Smithfield Christian Church and was a food server supervisor.
She married William E. Lewis on September 14, 1940 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1997.Survivors include 2 sons, Jerry Lewis of Carl Junction and Edward Lewis and wife Linda of Tampa, FL; daughter, Patricia Hagerman and husband Mike of Ft. Worth, TX; 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 22 Great Great Grandchildren.
There will be a visitation Monday July 10, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Smithfield Christian Church with Pastor Robert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Hazelgreen Cemetery in Boulder City, Mo.Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s/Dementia Association.
