Barbara Nina Seely, age 65, passed away 1:28 am, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home following an illness.
Barbara was born June 2, 1952 in Joplin, Missouri. Her parents were Albert and Barbara (Tompkins) Briggs. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.
She enjoyed living in Galena and loved watching the neighborhood activity while sitting on her front porch. She was a very friendly person and loved everybody.
She was married ot James Douglas “Doug” Seely on September 1, 1983 in Oronogo, MO. He survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Raymond Williams, Galena, KS; two daughters, Mary Williams, (boyfriend, Paul Long) Joplin, MO and Marcella Pittman, Joplin, MO; two brothers, Buck Briggs, Waco, MO, and Dee Briggs, Oronogo, MO; two sisters, Janet Notniggle, Joplin, MO and Dolly Briggs, Galena, KS; and one grandson, Nathan Williams, Galena, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Robbie McCumber, and 15 siblings.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
