Gregory Allen Clayton, 54, of Aurora, Missouri went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Friday September 8, 2017 while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in Purdy, Missouri on December 11, 1962; the son of the late Loretta (Boyd) Clayton and Marvin Clayton of Purdy. He was united in marriage on May 21, 1983 to Dora Barnes; she survives.
He was a retired construction worker, ran a small pub in Aurora, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Gregory is survived by his wife Dora of the home; two sons: Corey Clayton and his wife Kelsey of Monett, and Dakota Clayton of Aurora; his father Marvin Clayton of Purdy; and one sister: Stella Allen of Stella, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta on October 8, 2007 and one sister Robyn Clayton.
Visitation for Gregory is being held on Wednesday September 13, 2017 from 4:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. with memorial services to begin immediately following visitation at 5:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Military Honors will follow services at the Arnhart Baptist Cemetery is Purdy, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
