Connie Hobson (Hub Cap guy), 84, of Carthage passed away 1:05 a.m. Monday September 4, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. He was born July 14, 1933 in Boulder City, MO. Connie was the son of Lawrence B. Hobson and Norma Branham Hobson. He was a radio dispatcher for Missouri Department of Transportation for 35 years. Connie was a member of the Duenweg Assembly of God Church.
Connie was united in marriage to Shirley Richardson on October 12, 1952 in Granby, MO. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter Connie Grinstead of Oklahoma City, OK, a daughter in law, Kathy Hobson of Joplin, one brother Bill (Ruby) Hobson of Webb City, MO, one sister Betty Rose (Allan) of Webb City, MO, four grandchildren Brant Hobson, Kasey Brunner, Kari Hobson and Taylor Grinstead and two great grandchildren Kylie Hobson and Brynn Brunner. He was preceded in death by his son Rodney Hobson in August 2017.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Duenweg Assembly of God Church, 7380 E. 20th Street, Joplin. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday before services. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Contributions may be made to the Duenweg Assembly of God Church. Online condolences may be sent at www.ulmerfh.com.
