Mr. Donald Owen Hitt, 86, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in the comfort of his home.
Don was born on August 20, 1931, in Los Angeles, California, born to the union of the late Owen Westland and Lillian Naomi (Parker) Hitt. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Hitt on February 5, 2017; a son, Matt Hitt; a grandson Riley Owen Hitt; and a sister, Dixie Green.
Don is survived by his two sons, Mike Hitt and wife, Cherylynn, of Goodman and Mark Hitt and wife, Jana, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ryan, Mindi, Cory, Luke and Matt; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon Power of Catheys Valley, California, Jackie Vick of Stevensville, Montana and Tammy West of Southwest City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Splitlog Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
