Jody Renegar

Alma Joann “Jody” (Shirley) Renegar, 87, Grove, OK passed away November 13, 2017 at Integris Grove Hospital after a illness.

Alma JoAnn Shirley was born December 18, 1929 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Paul and Nellie (Chester) Shirley. Jody as everyone affectionately called her, loved to work with her hands. She graduated from Missouri Southern State College in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in art. She was an artist who worked in water colors, oils, clay, bronze and pottery. Alma J. Shirley married George A. “Bus” Pfaffmann December 19, 1949. Together they travel the world while he served in the military. Jody had lived in Kansas City, MO; San Diego, CA; Yokohama, Japan; Quonset Point, RI; Chula Vista, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seneca, MO and Grove, OK. Alma J. Pfaffmann married Jack Renegar, January 7, 1992. Together Jack and Jody traveled the country. Jack and Jody were married 25 wonderful years.

Additional survivors include two sons, Harry Pfaffmann, Tulsa, OK and George Pfaffmann, Neosho, MO; one brother Berry Shirley, Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jody was also preceded in death her parents, her first husband George A. Pfaffmann in 1988, one brother, Paul Shirley, one son Gregory Pfaffmann and one daughter, Cynthia Maley.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2:00 pm, November 17, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Chapel with Joshua Frakes officiating. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm following the visitation. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery.
