Effie Orler

Mrs. Effie Laverne Orler, 90, of Anderson, Missouri, ascended peacefully to be with her creator on Sunday, November 12, 2017, surrounded by her children.

Effie was born Effie Bowers in Clarksville, Tennessee, on February 7, 1927, and moved to Anderson, Missouri, in 1960, where they raised their children. Once all her children graduated high school, Effie entered nursing school and worked as an LPN until her retirement in 2007. She loved spending time with her friends and family, traveling the country, Caribbean cruises and making people smile. Quote from Effie “Don’t waste your tears on me; just remember the happy times and laughter we shared”. Effie may be gone but not forgotten by all her friends and family that shared her joy and beauty.

Effie is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Elizabeth Bowers; her husband of forty-seven years, Victor Lee Orler on August 23, 2006; a daughter, Connie Allison; and three siblings, WT Bowers, Wilson Bowers, Jr. and Fanny Judd.

Effie is survived by her six children, Loretta Garrison and husband, Ted, of Camdenton, Missouri, Larry Morris of Weir, Kansas, David Morris of Joplin, Missouri, Debora Montgomery and husband, Glenn, of Fairview, Missouri, Tami Thomas and husband, Steve, of Anderson, Missouri and Teresa Orler and Robin of Joplin, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; along with many other family, friends and neighbors that called her Mom, Maw Maw and friend.

Funeral services for Mrs. Orler will be held graveside on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tracy Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri, with Pastor Russell Thomas officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Steven Victor Thomas, Justin Joel Montgomery, Jason Martin Montgomery, Keaton Victor Thomas and Hayden Ross Thomas.
