Louis Patrick Clark, age 21, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City after a sudden illness.
Louis was born March 30, 1996 in Joplin, and graduated from Joplin High School in 2014. He was a huge fan of Dr. Who, and any western that had John Wayne. He enjoyed a variety of music from country to techno/trance, but his favorite was Bob Seger. He was also a fanatical University of Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Louis was preceded in death by a grandfather, Charles Clark.
Surviving are his mother, Brenda Speer and husband Tim of Joplin; father, Cecil Clark of Duenweg, Missouri; sister, Vanessa Owens and Anthony Edwards of Joplin; brother-in-law, Lucas Owens of Joplin; grandparents, Charles and Marian Speer of Carl Junction, Vida Clark of Webb City, aunt, Stacie Crouch of Joplin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; including Alex, Darrell, and Briella to whom he was devoted, and taking care of their needs for the last three years at his home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Parker Mortuary with Rev. Andrew Moyer, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday, from 6-7 p.m. at the mortuary.
Services are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
