Raymond 'Ted' Ruggles, age 80, Joplin, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Spring River Christian Village after an illness.
Ted was born September 9, 1937 in Austin, Texas to the late Delbert Lyle Ruggles and Edna Ruth Tiner Ruggles and had lived in Joplin since 2000.
Ted worked as a church custodian at Brasewood Assembly of God, Beaumont, Texas, Gonzales Assembly of God, Gonzales, Louisiana and the Highland Park Church of God, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a former member of Galena Assembly of God. Ted will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include three sisters, Carolyn Hayes and her husband, Walter, Carl Junction, Pat Hallacy, Phoenix, Arizona, Kate Pinelo and her husband, Victor, The Woodlands, Texas; one brother, John Ruggles, Prairieville, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are planned for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
