James Delvin Hawkins, Granby, MO passed away November 1, 2018 at the age of 68 years. He was born August 17, 1950 in Granby to Willis and Margaret (Oliver) Hawkins. James Delvin served two years in the US Marines, then served in the National Guard, retiring after twenty years of service. He was a member of Ritchey Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, his family and family gatherings.
James Delvin married Thelma Johnson on March 9, 1987 in Miami, OK; she survives of the home. Additional survivors include four children: Mike Hawkins, Matt Hawkins, both of Granby; David Youngblood and wife, Sherry of Wyandotte, OK; and Beverly Coquillette of Webb City, MO; one brother, Charles Mike Hawkins of Granby; three sisters: Patricia Hembree of Joplin, Tracy Topel of Las Vegas, NV, and Pam Yost of Okeene, OK; one grandson; ten granddaughters; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel, Granby, MO.
Interment, will full military honors, will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery, Granby. James Hawkins, Nathan Wheeler, Chris Parker, Jason Crabb, Jack Shepherd, and Randy Morris will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Monday, November 5 from 5:00 until 6:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel.
