Jim Grife

Jimmie Eugene "Jim" Grife, 74 years, of Goodman, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Jim was born on July 14, 1944 in rural McDonald County, Missouri, son of the late Alvie and Allie (Brotherton) Grife. He worked as a fork lift operator for Honey Bear/Tyson's in Neosho, Missouri for 30 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, playing cards and loved old cars. He was not blessed with children, but looked upon his nieces and nephews as his very own and they dearly loved and adored their uncle Jim. He was a lifetime member of the Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman, Missouri. Jim will be dearly missed and remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Johnny Grife and Vernie Grife.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Lena Faye Tuomala of Splitlog, Missouri, Melva DeLaMatter of Gentry, Arkansas, Jeanie Nolan and husband, Butch of Derby, Kansas; a brother, Floyd Grife of Carthage, Missouri; an honorary brother and lifelong friend, Billy Adams of Goodman, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service for Jim will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman, Missouri. Pastor Shan Cobb will officiate. Burial with be held at a later date in the Banner Cemetery in Splitlog, Missouri.
