Charles Wayne Wormington, 84, of Purdy, Missouri went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday March 23, 2019 while staying at Sarcoxie Nursing in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He was born in Purdy on June 25, 1934; the son of the late Damon and Ollie (Henderson) Wormington.
He was retired from Jay Marshall Pump Service and a member of the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church in Purdy.
Charles is survived by one son: Charles Duane Wormington of Alpina, Arkansas; two daughters: Leta Dunlap of Pierce City, and Rhonda McFarland of Stella, Missouri; one brother: Cecil Wormington of Purdy; three sisters: Darlene Neill and Lou Mahurin both of Purdy; and Margaret Moller of Verona; nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Charles is being held on Tuesday March 26, 2019 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services for Charles are being held on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 10:00a.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Burial will follow services at the Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
