Maria De Lourdes Hernandez, 53, of Southwest City, Missouri, formerly of Northwest Arkansas, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
Maria entered this life on February 12, 1966 in San Juan, Texas, born to the union of Timoteo Gonzalez and Martha De Leon. She resided in Texas before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2001. Besides being a homemaker she also worked in the poultry industry and was a licensed CNA. She enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activities were fishing and camping. Maria was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father and four children, Jessie, Sarai, Carmen and Dixie.
Maria is survived by her husband, Miguel Hernandez; seven children, Margaita Garcia, Robert Kunz, Roy Kunz, Albert Carrasquillo, Tina Sanchez, Annie Sanchez and Jessica Sanchez; fifteen grandchildren; her mother, Martha De Leon; five brothers, David, Javier, Eddie, Julian and Phillip De Leon; two sisters, Sandra and Melissa De Leon; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with David De Leon officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Online condolences may be sent through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
