Deborah Jean Forehand, age 64, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital.
Debbie was born January 11, 1955 in Petaluma, California, daughter of Arland Williams of Joplin, and Bonnie Jean Reynolds of Joplin. She grew up in California, and moved to Joplin in 1977. She worked for Gilster Mary Lee in their purchasing department for over 20 years. She was an active member of Faith Tabernacle Church where she taught Sunday School for years, usually with the 5th grade students. She also enjoyed her time with the Praise Team at the church, sharing her love of her Lord with others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and church friends, and also was an avid gardener.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas M. Forehand, whom she married in 1979; her daughter, Sonni Michealle Potts and husband James of Joplin; stepson, Tom Forehand and wife Kelly of Brighton, Colorado; father, Arland Williams; mother, Bonnie Reynolds both of Joplin; sister, Rebecca Lynne Cagle and husband Bob of Joplin; grandchildren, Donovan Potts, Ross Forehand, Roxie Forehand, Alex Potts, and Halle Potts; great-granddaughter, Ava Lynn Bird; niece, Allie Ellsworth of Springfield, Missouri; nephew, Matthew Cagle of Joplin; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Twyla Johnson officiating, and her fellow praise team members leading the music.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
