Gean Carol Boyer, 79, Neosho, MO, entered into rest March 13, 2019. He was born March 28, 1939 in Neosho to Troy and Bertha Louise (Bogel) Boyer.
Gean was a 1957 graduate of Neosho High School and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He was a heavy equipment owner/operator all of his life; he performed underground boring; and owned and operated Gean C. Boyer Construction Company. Gean attended Racine Christian Church. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed dancing at the Senior Citizen Center.
Gean married his wife, Carol in Neosho on November 29, 2008; she survives of the home.
He is also survived by six children: Gene Carol (Butch) Boyer and wife, Robin of Bella Vista, AR, Marla Duening of Neosho, Julie White Eagle and husband, Doug of Centerton, AR, Carisa Booyer and husband, Rick of Rocky Comfort, MO, Melanie Fegans and husband, Brian of Carthage, MO, and Justin Carrol Boyer of Neosho; five stepchildren: Peggy Blacketer and husband, Art of Eustace, TX, Duane Butler and wife, Kathy of Cornith, TX, Mark Butler and wife, Pam of Lodi, CA, Tom Butler and wife, Karen of Seneca, MO, and Dan Butler and wife, Betsy of Neosho; one sister Nellrena Dible and husband, Doug of Raymore, MO; 29 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Gean was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 Sunday afternoon at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 18, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, with Pastor Mark Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho. Grandsons Brenton Phillips, Daniel Rose, Zach Boyer, Levi White Eagle, Braden Boyer, and Brady Boyer will serve as pallbearers. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Oakwood Cemetery in Gene’s memory, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
