Rita Lee Ponder, age 39, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at her home.
She was born November 15, 1979 in Monett, Missouri the daughter of Lorey (Hale) Smith, who survives of Joplin. Also surviving are her fathers, Mike Collier of St. Clair, Missouri and Mike Wormington of Cassville, Missouri; two sons, Austin Milford of Monett, Missouri and Cameron Johnson of Pierce City, Missouri; two daughters, Makayla Milford of Springfield, Missouri and Kaitlyn Milford-Woods and her husband Mallory of Aurora, Missouri; three sisters, Loretta Collier of Aurora, Missouri, Tonie White of Union, Missouri and Jamie Vogt of Cassville, Missouri; three stepsisters, Samantha Smith of Joplin, Missouri, Alex Smith of Texas and Jessica Smith of St. Louis, Missouri and three grandchildren, Eli, Rosie and Quinn.
Preceding her in death were her father and one son, Kaden Johnson.
Rita received her education in Purdy, Missouri. Some of her favorite pastimes were fishing, being at the lake, enjoying the outdoors and shopping. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 29, 2019 at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Roger Flint will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
