Mr. John Michael Cheetham, 44, of Lexington, Oklahoma, departed this life on Thursday evening, March 21, 2019.
John entered this life on February 12, 1975, in Miami, Florida, born to the union of William Joseph and Sharon Ann (Russell) Cheetham. He was raised in Rogers, Arkansas and was a 1993 graduate of Benton County Christian School. John was extremely bright. He graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was a degree in communications and electronics. He was employed by Flight Safety International in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for several years, traveling the world installing flight simulators. He enjoyed cars, photography and working on and with electronics.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Robert Russell and grandparents, Edward and Cecilia Cheetham, John Russell, Norma Brown and Margaret Grieve.
John is survived by his three children, Levi Cope of Rogers, Arkansas, Jacquelyn Albino of Coweta, Oklahoma and Nikoli Cope also of Rogers; a grandson, Reubin Albino; his parents, Sharon Russell and Jesse Cane of Neosho, Missouri; his father, William Cheetham of the state of Tennessee; three sisters, Melissa Burroughs of Hindsville, Georgia, Jill Cheetham of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Joy Cane-Giron and husband, Nelson, of Neosho; four brothers, James Cheetham and wife, Nicole, of Carthage, Missouri, Joseph Cane and wife, Amy, of Webb City, Missouri, Bear Cane of Neosho and Jordan Cane and wife, Jessica, of Joplin, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Benjamin Gainey and wife, Myrtle, of Coca, Florida; paternal grandmother, Maedean Scott of Huntsville, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Cheetham are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating.
