Margaret Walker, age 90, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at The Communities of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin. Margaret, daughter of the late Omar and Venus Heryford, was born on August 3, 1928 in McCune, KS.
She was united in marriage to Blain Walker and was a lifelong area resident. She was employed as a beautician in the Joplin area and at the Greenbriar Nursing Home. Margaret also enjoyed playing bridge with the Joplin Women’s Club and was a member of the First Christian Church of Joplin.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Stana Walker, of Joplin; two grandchildren, Kyndal O’Neal and Joshua Walker, of Joplin; two great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blain Walker and one son, Brian Walker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with entombment to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 1:00pm until service time at the mortuary.
