Karri Lynn Derrick, age 60, Joplin, passed away at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital.
Karri was born August 29, 1958 in Carthage and had lived in the area most of her life.
A homemaker, Karri enjoyed reading romance novels; crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Karri married John Derrick on May 11, 1977 in Joplin. He survives.
Additional survivors include her children, Jeremy Derrick and wife, Erin, Joplin, Misty Derrick, Joplin, Brandon Derrick, Joplin, Brittney Straw and husband, Layton, Duquesne, Chelsea Derrick and fiancé, Ben Carter, Carterville; grandchildren, Felisha, Kevin, Jason, Matthew, Jonathan, Hunter, Allyson, Allen, Chole, Jaxon, Fisher, Kinli, Marcus; sisters, Kristi Murray, Kelli Bresee, Kassi Ball; and several other extended family members.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Steve Cooper will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
