Charles Herrin

Charles Mortier Herrin, Jr., Neosho, entered into rest, following an extended illness, on April 25, 2019 at the age of 93 years, eleven months, and eighteen days. He was born May 7, 1925 in Washburn, MO to Etta (Berry) and Charles M. Herrin, Sr.

Charles served in the US Army, worked for the US Government Department of Defense as an inspector of diesel engines at Rocketdyne, and owned and operated Herrin Grocery for ten years. He enjoyed working with hand tools, was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years, was an active member of Oakwood Christian Church, and was a loving husband and father. 

Charles and Rueple (Crews) were married June 24, 1944 in Bentonville, AR; she survives of the home. 








He is also survived by one daughter, Susan Herrin of Overland Park, KS and one brother, Doyle Herrin of Pineville, MO. Charles was preceded in death by two siblings, Geneva and James.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
