Sharon Daniels

Sharon Kay Daniels, age 72, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Wednesday evening, April 10, 2019 at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, Missouri. Sharon Kay Evinger was born January 27, 1947 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Red W. Evinger and Bettye Jane (Rush) Evinger. She was a 1965 graduate of Carthage High School.

Sharon married Louis Daniels on August 27, 1965 in Carthage; he survives. She worked as a physical therapy aide for St. John’s Hospital in Joplin. Sharon was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Webb City, Missouri. She was member and active in the Heartland Doll Club, enjoyed camping, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.







Survivors include her husband, Louis; two daughters, Amy Daniels, Oronogo, Missouri, and Tracy Downey, Webb City, Missouri; two sons, Rusty Daniels (wife Adrienne), Omro, Wisconsin, and Doug Daniels, Carthage, Missouri; one sister, Martha Jane Eaton, Norman, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Steve “Wart” Evinger.

Visitation will be held 6-7 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 10 am, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Knell Mortuary. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association in care of Knell Mortuary. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
