Jack Arehart

Gary W. 'Jack' Arehart, age 74, Joplin, passed away 7:34 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital after a sudden illness.

Gary was born August 20, 1944 in Seneca, Missouri to the late Lawrence Leonard Arehart and Stella Mae Barker Arehart and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.

Gary worked for Mattes Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment operator for many years, working along the state of Missouri. He loved his family with everything he had and will be missed by all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Goldie; his children, Brenda Arehart Ellis and husband, Michael, Joplin, Gary E. Arehart and wife, Theresa, Joplin, Ricky Arehart and wife, Kelly, Joplin, Tacy Arehart, Joplin, Kimberly Arehart Clark and husband, Bill, Carl Junction, Travis Arehart and wife, Shelby, Joplin; siblings, Norma Wolfe and husband, R.E., Kansas City, Delores Handley and husband, Rex, Lavita McCloud and husband, Mike, Merna Pickett, Joann Carpenter, Leonard Arehart and wife, Judy, Brent Arehart, Larry Arehart; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.









In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by three step brothers, Jerry Arehart, Benny Arehart, Kent Arehart; step sister, Della Arehart; and a step brother-in-law, R.E. Wolfe.

Services are planned for Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Boyce Mouton will officiate. Interment will follow at Seneca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Mark Gregory, James Carey II, Logan Eck and Justin Madison. The family will receive friends Tuesday from Noon until service time at Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
