Melissa Sue Smith, age 37, of Pierce City, MO died on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at her home in Pierce City, MO. Melissa was born in Joplin, MO on Friday, July 03, 1981. She was the daughter of Gregg and Rebecca (Hooper) Smith. She was a mother and a homemaker.
Surviving are the following: one daughter. Abriana Grimaldo of Pierce City, MO; three sons, Cade Trejo of Joplin, MO, Jayce Herniodez of Pierce City, MO, and Dalyn Herniodez of Pierce City, MO; her dad and stepmother, Gregg and Susan Smith of Aurora, MO; and her grandmother, Sarah Cantrell of Pierce City , MO.
Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca, in 2007.
Melissa has been cremated at her request and no services are planned at this time. She is under the care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
