Dick Granger

Joe Richard “Dick” Granger, age 89, of Stella, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri.

He was born March 3, 1930 in Oklahoma, the son of Faye and Lola (Evans) Granger. In 1947 he was united in marriage to Wanda Blevins, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Danny Granger and Ricky Granger; two brothers, Faye Granger Jr. and Bubba Granger and one sister, Connie White.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Granger and his wife Millie of Neosho, Missouri, Bill Granger and his wife Linda of Wheaton, Missouri, and Benny Granger of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Scherry Divine and her husband Darrell of Stella, Missouri and Tammy Wecker and her husband Gerald of Pierce City, Missouri; one sister, Bonnie Fullerton and her husband Bud of Granby, Missouri; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Dick grew up and received his education in Stella. As a young man he went to journeyman school and learned the concrete trade. He worked in California and traveled doing construction. In 1956 he came back to Missouri and continued his construction business. For many years he also farmed and hauled lots of hay as well as being involved with Senior Citizens.








Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Joe Wogoman will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
