Leonard Lee Carlin, 77, Joplin, MO entered into rest on April 5, 2019. Leonard was born December 2, 1941 in McDonald County, MO to Carl and Maxine (Stafford) Carlin.
He was the owner-operator of GayLen Plumbing in Joplin, retiring in 2007. Leonard enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, and his family.
Leonard and Gaitha (“Gay”) Prier were married June 28, 1986; she survives of the home.
He is also survived by seven children, Kenny Carlin and wife, Laura of Neosho, Tami Carlin of Louisiana, Jennifer Swaggerty and husband, Jeremy of Stockton, MO, Carl Carlin and wife, Lindsey of South Greenfield, MO, Carol Frickenschmidt and husband, Thomas of Lockwood, MO, Shad Stussy and wife, Michele of Joplin, and Tony Stussy and wife, Janet of Seneca, MO; one brother, Raymond Carlin of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Marilyn Hyatt of Smithville, MO; sixteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Carlin; and one brother, Ronnie Carlin.
A memorial visitation will be held 6 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
A private family inurnment will be held at Hazel Green Cemetery, Neosho at a later date.
