Paul Leroy Henson, Sr., age 80. Joplin, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his home.
Paul was born March 22, 1939 in Carterville, Missouri, son of the late Owen L. Henson and Willie Catty Henson. He was owner of his company, Henson Tile, where he worked for many years as a tile setter. He was also a member of Tabernacle Faith Church of Joplin.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Muriel Levone "Midge" Henson; sons, Donald Dean Henson and Paul Leroy Henson, Jr.; daughter, Karen Ann Henson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Asbell Roth Henson whom he married in 2007, children, Debra "Debby" Daniels and husband Don of Jay, Oklahoma, Cathy Olds and husband Kelly of Carl Junction, Missouri, Doug Henson and wife Penny of Joplin; step-children, James Roth, Jr. and wife Jamie of Oronogo, Missouri, and Rick Roth of Webb City, Missouri; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Henson and wife Virginia of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Casey Green, Chase Green, Jason Hopkins, Chris Green, Justin Olds, Donnie Henson, Corey Henson, Caden Sanders, and Bo Jones serving as pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
