Cleone Heath

Cleone Afton Heath, 85, of Goodman, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, Missouri.

Cleone was born to the union of the late, Halmer Augustus and Signia Viola (Sornsen) Eklund on July 10, 1933 in Norman County, Minnesota.

She married Wesley Heath on January 21, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona and to this union four children were born. Cleone attended school and was raised in Ada, Minnesota. She worked in education department for McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, California; also at the Assessor's Office in McDonald County and was the Republican Election Judge for Buffalo/May precinct for 32 years. Cleone was the secretary and co-owner of Heath Plumbing Company.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Heath; sister, Boots Tandy and a brother, Richard Eklund.








Cleone is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wesley Heath of the home; three children, Melanie Heath of Goodman, Missouri, Matthew Lawrence Heath of Neosho, Missouri and James Wesley Heath of Joplin, Missouri; a brother, Eldon Eklund and wife, Jan of Arizona; a sister, Deanna Auman and husband, Gene of Colorado; six grandchildren, Ben Stillons, Rachel Parker, Nathan Stillons, Jannalee Perry, Josh Heath and Jamie Heath; eight great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Cleone.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Reverend Marilyn O'Brien will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Gibson Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Anderson Chapel of The Ozark Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The family will receive friends at this time.
