David “Dave” Joseph Arwood, 54, Seneca, MO passed away April 16, 2019. He was born March 24, 1965 in Joplin, MO to Howard and Jacqueline (Testerman) Arwood and was a lifelong resident of Newton County.
While in school, Dave was active in the Round Prairie 4-H and the Seneca FFA. He was the owner of D&S Erectors, LLC and loved working with heavy equipment, especially with his Bobcat. Dave was a member of the “Walkerville Chamber of Commerce” and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda King and husband, Jake of Seneca, and Christina Arwood of Neosho; his parents, Howard and Jackie Arwood of Seneca; sisters, Susan Barnes and husband, Charles and Sarah Sloan and husband, Mikeson, all of Seneca. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Tara Phebus; her four daughters and three grandchildren; and numerous friends. Dave was the “favorite uncle” to five nephews, eight nieces, and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Arwood; nephew, Adam Barnes; paternal grandparents, Paul and Sybil Arwood; and maternal grandparents, Rueal and Gareldine Testerman.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO; officiating will be Ron Lankford and Charles Barnes. Interment will follow at Burkhart Cemetery, Racine, MO. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Friday, April 19, from 5 pm until 7:30 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
