Randy Land

Randy Eugene Land, 62, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2019, while at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after months of declining health.

Randy entered this life on November 2, 1956, in Neosho, Missouri, born to the union of the late Robert Eugene “Gene” and Betty Lois (Martin) Land. He was a lifelong resident of Anderson, Missouri.

On June 22, 1980, in Anderson, he was united in marriage to Debra Banks and together they have shared the last thirty-eight years. Randy never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He worked at Ginger Blue with his mother for ten years, starting at the age of twelve. The last twenty-seven years of his working career has been with Crowder Industries in Neosho, Missouri.

In October of 2014, he moved to Neosho, Missouri, to reside with his wife at Medicalodge. He enjoyed bowling and walking all over Anderson especially to the Flick Theater to catch a weekend movie. Debra and he were longtime faithful members of Patterson Heights Baptist Church. Everyone in Anderson knew and enjoyed visiting with Randy and Debra. He was very special in everyway and will be missed by all of those that loved him.








Randy is survived by his wife, Debra; two sisters, Debbie Greene of Wichita, Kansas and Kathy Drumright and husband, Ken, of Valley Center, Kansas; four nephews, Mike Drumright and Greg Drumright both of Wichita, Kansas, Jeff Greene of Montgomery Village, Maryland and Brian Greene of Stafford, Virginia; a niece, Krista Drumright Mapes of Dowingtown, Pennsylvania; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Randy will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors Fred Mills and Haskell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Mike Drumright, Greg Drumright, Jeff Greene, Brian Greene, Charles Land and Billy Martin with Danny Jansen and Greg Akehurst serving as honorary. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to the Patterson Heights Baptist Church c/o the funeral home.
