(From Parker Mortuary)Deborah Ruth Willard, age 70, Carthage, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home.
Debby was born May 19, 1950 in Okarche, Oklahoma, daughter of the late John Ruth, Sr. and Murrow Hilbish Ruth.
She grew up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma where she enjoyed her childhood, being very active in several activities at school before graduating from Kingfisher High School in 1968 where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. She then graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, Oklahoma with a degree in Accounting.
She worked for different companies including Bagcraft, Fleming Foods, and most recently Butterball in Carthage before retiring in 2016. She was an accomplished golfer, and enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Debby was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Ruth.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Willard of the home; step-daughter, Melissa Pavy and husband Justin of Carthage; granddaughter, Iyla Pavy; brother, John Ruth, Jr. and wife Sue Ann of Dallas, Texas; sister, Margaret Ruth Godsy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: five nephews, Jon Godsy, Eric Godsy, John Ruth, III, Peter Ruth, Aaron Ruth, and niece, Shelly Willard Graves.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Carthage Humane Society.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
